I'm the owner of Süco's and specialize in curly cuts & colors, thick hair, and hair extensions.
That 'I feel DAMN GOOD' look is the best part of the service. The smile I see when you leave the hair salon! THAT....is what I aim to achieve each time I have someone in my chair. I've been styling over 15 years and it's what keeps me going.
I've always specialized in cuts and colors and have done a lot of work with curly, thick, long hair! Having this hair type myself, I know it's a struggle finding someone to listen and help you achieve the style you're after. Not every curly girl is the same and we're all after something different. I'm the hairdresser to help you achieve it.
But lets not stop there. I've been doing cuts and colors, extensions, makeup, and skincare consultations as well. Working on my skills to give you the best all around service. My goal is to make you feel beautiful and natural when you leave the salon.
Kaili Povoden
SENIOR STYLIST
For the past 3+ years Kaili has been making Whistler locals look great on and off the mountain. Her eye for detail is impeccable and she is known for her precision haircuts and colors on both man and women. Kaili's passion for color shines through in her work on both blondes and brunettes, and lately she's been enjoying experimenting and perfecting fun fashion colors as well.
Kaili trained at The Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles, and with over 25 years of experience in the hair salon industry she has worked in some of Vancouver's top hair salons and on the set of T.V. shows and feature films. Her work has been published in numerous fashion magazines and Kaili continues to be an exceptional talent in the industry.
With 15 years in Whistler under her belt you can be sure Kaili takes in all that this beautiful village has to offer. When she's not in the salon she's out and about with her 2 girls. Skiing, biking, running, and skate skiing are a few of her favorite activities.
Melissa Messier
Apprentice
I've always had a passion for hair! "I started my love of hair at the age of ten. Styling my hair like the women in the fashion magazines was where it began and the more I played around with different hair styles the more my friends would start to compliment my skills and ask me to style their hair before special occasions and parties.
At the age of sixteen I got my first set of hair extensions, since my hair was on the finer side the hair extensions made me feel happy, confident and beautiful. I loved them! That's when I decided my dream was to become a hair dresser. I wanted to make other people feel the same way I did when I left that salon.
I am grateful for the opportunity to train under Diana and Kaili at Süco's this year and so excited to continue my work in the hair salon, building my local clientele and working to become a certified hairdresser in Whistler, BC. I will continue to take courses to keep myself up to date on new techniques and styles to ensure I have all the skills needed to serve our community."
Jon Carr
Blonde Specialist
After graduating from the Hair Art Design program at John Casablancas Institute in 2014 Jon began his career as an assistant and apprentice.
Following in the footsteps of stylists he looked up to and who mentored him, Jon began to fall in love with hair. He watched his mentors and how they precisely applied and created amazing blondes and other colours. Along with his passion for giving clients a low maintenance lived in blonde, he’s also passionate about all colour and cuts that each client is looking for.
Jon continued his education post school by taking colour courses, and advanced cutting class. He practiced to perfect his craft and now as he comes up to 8 years in the industry his favourite feeling is giving a unique look to each client and seeing the excitement in their face when they see their finished hair for the first time.
